WWE’s Vince McMahon reflects on Hulk Hogan Racism Controverse

“It was unforgivable. And I was, just like, what happened. What happened?” McMahon, 79, said TMZ Presents: The Real Hulk HoganA new documentary about the wrestling icon that was broadcast on FOX on Tuesday 12 August.
McMahon continued: “And when those things took place, that’s not like him. What’s going on in God’s name?”
Hogan’s name Terry Bollea-Erd was fired by WWE and was removed from the Hall of Fame from the company in July 2015 after Audio had repeatedly used the N word and described himself as “racist, to a certain extent”.
McMahon, who was in charge of WWE at the time, said: “As soon as it happened, the company of course had nothing to do with him. We took him out of the Hall of Fame. You just don’t do those things.”
However, the wrestling promoter is of the opinion that the incident does not reflect the true Hogan.
“I knew he wasn’t racist. I have been with him for so many years,” said McMahon. “He was not racist. He said some racist things. He should pay that, and he did that. In the end I think everyone saw the real Hulk Hogan, Terry Bollea, and they felt:” Wait for a moment, this guy does not behave like a racist. He is not a racist. ” We all make mistakes.
At the time of the scandal, Hogan said that there was “no excuse” for the language he used. “I strongly believe that every person in the world is important and should not be treated differently on the basis of race, gender, orientation, religious beliefs or otherwise. I am disappointed in myself that I used language that is offensive and is not consistent with my own beliefs. It is not who I am. US Weekly.
WWE eventually recovered Hogan in his Hall of Fame in July 2018. He was inaugurated a second time, this time part of the NWO wrestling group, in 2020.
Hogan died at the age of 71 on 24 July after experiencing a cardiac arrest in his house in Clearwater, Florida. He was later declared dead after he was taken to the hospital.
Hogan’s cause of death is mentioned as acute myocardial infarction, better known as a heart attack, obtained by documents by Us. The report also suggests that Hogan had a secret history of combating leukemia, a kind of cancer that influences white blood cells.
