WIZZ AIR ADDS SANTORINI TO ITS EXPANDING GREEK NETWORK | News
Wizz Air, Europe’s fastest growing airline and London’s local airline, today announces the launch of a brand new route from London Gatwick to Santorini, further expanding its Greek network ahead of the summer season.
The new service will launch on July 1 and operate twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays, giving British travelers even more choice when planning their summer holiday to Greece. The new route to Santorini comes as Wizz Air continues to expand its routes from Britain to Greece, building on recently announced connections to Chania, Corfu, Mykonos, Rhodes and Zakynthos, launching this summer.
Santorini is one of Greece’s most iconic islands, known for its whitewashed villages, dramatic caldera views and unforgettable sunsets. Often associated with luxury travel, the island has traditionally been seen as inaccessible to many travelers. With this new route, Wizz Air gives customers the chance to experience one of Greece’s hotspots at affordable prices, reflecting the airline’s mission to make travel accessible to all.
The route comes as Wizz Air continues to expand its fleet and operations from the UK, with more than 110 routes from the UK to almost 80 destinations, giving British travelers the opportunity to discover a range of destinations across Europe and beyond, from hidden gems to summer beach holidays.
