‘Will & Grace’ actor was 60

Corey Parker, a versatile actor whose career spanned film, television and mentoring young artists, has died TMZ. He was 60 years old.
His family told TMZ that he died Thursday in Memphis, Tennessee after a battle with cancer.
Parker began his career in the mid-1980s, landing the role of Pete in “Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning” (1985), a gig that helped him establish himself in the horror genre. He then appeared in Kim Basinger’s romantic drama “9 1/2 Weeks” (1986).
In 1992, he rose to fame as Neil Barash in the sitcom “Flying Blind,” co-starring with Téa Leoni as an awkward college graduate who navigated love with her free-spirited nature. The series, which ran for one season, also featured guest appearances by Lisa Kudrow, Peter Boyle, Andy Dick and Noah Emmerich.
Television audiences also remembered Parker as Josh, one of Grace’s boyfriends on “Will & Grace,” who appeared in five episodes of the hit NBC series. His other film credits include “Biloxi Blues,” “White Palace,” “Love Boat: The Next Wave,” “Nashville” and “Blue Skies.”
Later in his career, Parker turned to coaching, helping actors refine their craft on shows like “Sun Records” and “Ms. Marvel,” leaving a lasting impact in front of the camera.
Parker grew up in a creative household. His mother, Rocky Parker, who married Patrick Dempsey in the late 1980s, and his sister, Noelle, were both actors.
Parker is known for his on-screen charm and dedication to bringing out younger artists. Colleagues and fans alike remember him for his warmth, humor and lasting impact on the entertainment community.
