Guests at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Argentina shared their shocking memories of the tragic night, including hearing “violent noises” and a “scream.”
A guest, Michael Fleischmann, claimed just three hours before Payne’s death that the singer seemed “a bit wild” as he argued with an unnamed woman about money.
He claimed the former boy band star kept repeating to the mystery woman, “I’ll give you $20,000 just because I can. I have $55 million and I like to help people.”

Payne allegedly argued with the woman about money and brought up his fortune.

The guest added that Payne “seemed very upset, excited, a little wild, walking around and pacing” and “seemed very energetic.”
While a person staying at the hotel claimed to Daily Mail, Payne said: “I was in a boy band – that’s why I’m so excited.”

Payne died aged 31 after falling from the balcony of his Buenos Aires hotel after attending his former bandmate Niall Horan’s show earlier that week.
Before his death, at 4:26 p.m., Liam was pictured by another guest lying on his laptop on a couch in the lobby. Two minutes later he was photographed near a hotel elevator.
Concerned hotel staff then called 911 at 5:01 p.m., requesting that police be dispatched.

At the time, the front desk manager said they needed “urgent assistance” to help with a guest who was “behaving erratically.”
He pleaded, “He’s destroying the whole room. We need you to send someone, please.”
A few minutes later, at 5:05 p.m., officers arrived at the hotel, but authorities found Payne in the hotel courtyard.

Police reported that a person had fallen from the third floor and requested an ambulance at 5:07 p.m., and paramedics arrived on the scene four minutes later. Payne was pronounced dead.
It is not known what time the star fell from the hotel balcony.

Payne was captured on hotel surveillance cameras before his death.

Before Payne’s death, he apparently invited two 25-year-old escorts to his hotel room.
The women claimed they were called to the hotel through an escort service platform. Payne’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, had left Argentina two days earlier, reportedly due to frustration over their extended stay in the country.
The National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office conducted an investigation and spoke with the women who were in Payne’s room before his death and with hotel staff.
They concluded that he was alone at the time of the fall and was likely in a state of unconsciousness due to the position of his body and the injuries sustained.

Following Payne’s death, tributes poured in, including from his One Direction bandmates.
In a statement signed “Louis [Tomlinson]Zayn [Malik]Niall [Horan] and Harry [Styles]”, they said: “We are completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing.
“Over time, and when everyone is able to do so, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, whom we loved dearly. The memories we shared with him will be cherished forever.
“For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends and the fans who loved him alongside us.”
The group added: “We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam.”

The five met The X factor in 2010 as solo artists before forming One Direction and becoming a superstar.
