Why Prince Harry felt uncomfortable at Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday

The Duchess of Sussex has accelerated plans to expand her lifestyle brand As Ever over the past year as she continues to recalibrate her post-royal career in California.

Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, 41, are estimated to be worth around $81 million, but royal watchers said that figure no longer reflects the duchess’s “rabid” ambition.

Now that her Netflix deal has been downgraded to a first-look agreement and her Spotify partnership has ended, Markle is said to be looking closely at the Kardashian business model as a blueprint for the next phase of her career.

A branding expert said: “Those around Meghan say she is openly focused on achieving billionaire status and is thinking well beyond short-term projects, with a clear ambition to build something on the scale of the world’s biggest celebrity-led companies.”

The insider added the required strategy was much bigger than what Meghan currently has underway.

“To get anywhere close to that level of prosperity, she needs to create a brand that goes far beyond small, curated lifestyle items and focuses on something much broader and more scalable,” they said. “What we see now is just the basics, not the finished image.”
