Why influencer Tianna Robillard didn’t stay with NFL player Cody Ford

Influencer Tianna Robillard sheds more light on her broken engagement to NFL player Cody Ford.

‘I have [fan] messages like, “Girl, we all know these guys do this. Why wouldn’t you just stay for whatever?’ Dude, I do this out of love,” Robillard, 29, said on the Sunday, Oct. 19 episode of “Sunday Sports Club” podcast. “We were all put on this earth for love, I wouldn’t stay in something that didn’t serve me.”

Cincinnati Bengals offensive guard Ford, 28, proposed to Robillard in April 2024 after two years of dating. Just two months later, Robillard announced their breakup via TikTok.

“I was terrified at first,” she recalled of being newly single. “I had my old beater [car] still, thank goodness, and I sympathized [him]. I thought, ‘Where am I going and what am I going to do?’ I went back to what I felt comfortable with, I could get my bearings. I think in those moments people thought I was going to stay in something and I wasn’t [right.] I didn’t care how scared I was, I didn’t care where I went.”

Robillard quickly packed up and headed to a friend’s house, even leaving behind her diamond engagement ring.

“Honestly, I wish I would have kept that s***,” Robillard said, noting that Ford didn’t ask for the rock when they broke up. “We had little bowls with the engraved ‘T’ and whatever [his said] and I left them both on the counter and put my ring in them. I didn’t even want to [anything] from this man – and I didn’t need anything from this man, and I left the ring.

Robillard further joked that Ford can’t give the ring to a future partner because it had a “damn nickname” engraved on the band.

“Good luck,” she joked, before getting emotional about leaving their shared pets behind. “The can of worms I have yet to open is the dogs. I can’t even look at my camera roll. I left two small chew toys with a note that said something like, ‘Here’s your damn ring, thanks for nothing.'”

Robillard later moved on with a fellow influencer Adrian Nuñez after meeting via social media.

“I met Adrien a year ago,” she recalled on Sunday’s episode. “Adrien had a cornhole set that was made up of Bengals gear. He did something with Amazon Prime Day and had to pick a team, [and said in a video]“I guess love isn’t real,” and crushed his Bengals sign in a video.

The video, a response to Robillard and Ford’s breakup, eventually caught her attention.
