Why I ended my friendship with the ‘painful’ Sarah Jessica Parker
Noth claimed Parker did not contact him to get his side of the story before sharing a public statement in support of his accusers.
The 71-year-old was accused of sexual assault by three women in 2021. He denied the claims.
In a joint statement at the time, Parker and co SATC stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis shared: “We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth.
“We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. “We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.”
Noth called the statement “disappointing” and said it was “pretty clear” he was no longer friends with Parker, 60.
In a new podcast chat, he said of their feud: “The statement they put out – which was really nothing more than brand management – I don’t know, it was sad, it was disappointing, it was surprising.
“Because you need to call me and hear my side of this. You have known me for many years and we have worked (together) for many years.”
Nothing appears in all six seasons of Sex and the city, as well as the series’ two sequels, and he returned for the sequel series, And just like thatin 2021 before his character was killed off in the first episode.
He continued: “And I understand, that’s more Hollywood than Hollywood
“But before you make that statement, you know me, you’ve known me all these years, give me a call so I can give you the real scoop. And that didn’t happen, and that was a shame.”
Nothing said the situation showed him who his real friends are.
“I just know that if it had been the other side, I wouldn’t have done that,” he said, noting that he “absolutely” would have called Parker had the tables been turned.
“That was painful and it really affected everything,” he added.
Noth made a public dig at Parker earlier this month, causing a stir SATC fans.
The actor posted a photo of himself at the gym, captioning it: “F&@k new years – LETS GO!!!!”
When a fan asked, “You mean f-k SJP & her award right? lol” — referring to Parker receiving the 2026 Carol Burnett Award two days earlier — Noth responded, “Right.”
But he later responded to the insult, writing on Instagram: “The off-the-cuff, slightly sarcastic response to an internet comment seems to have created a storm in a teapot. It’s not news.”
In 2023, Noth again denied the sexual assault allegations against him, but admitted to cheating on his wife, Tara Wilson.
He and Wilson have been married since April 2012 and share two sons together: Orion, 18, and Keats, five.
Noth maintained that the sexual encounters outside his marriage were consensual.
“I strayed from my wife, and it’s devastating for her and not a very pretty picture.
“What it isn’t is a crime.”
