‘Wheel of Fortune’ ends season 1 under Ryan Seacrest with Ratings Bult

Ryan Seacrest ends his first season as host of “Wheel of Fortune” in a high tone. According to Series Distributor CBS Media Ventures, the Syndicated Gamer-Die has just his last series of new episodes for the TV season 2024-2025 Sun to year in both households and total viewers.
SeaCrest took over for old host Pat Sajak (and joined Co-host vanna White in September). Per CBS was “Wheel” “the only syndice game show that posted growth and was one of only two syndicated series that increase from year to year.”
“Wheel” was an average of 7.93 million viewers this season, with a slight bump of 74,000 versus last year. In households, the game show achieved a 4.6 rating for the season in households, an increase of 1% compared to the previous year. CBS said it makes the number 2 syndicated series in households and total viewers, behind the only sister show “Jeopardy!”
Sajak signed as hosts from the ‘Wiel’ during the day last June. He was still seen this season in ABC’s Primetime edition of ‘Celebrity Wheel of Fortune’, who sought his last turn in the show.
When Variety Last year noted in a profile of SeaCrest, the host studied carefully while taking over the performance. According to the story, he went through “Wheel’s” more than 8,000 episodes archive and looked at hundreds of shows and cherry picking moments from every decade to learn the nuances of the game.
And it apparently worked: in September, according to Nielsen data, “Wheel of Fortune” on average 7.99 million viewers during his premiere month (9 September to 6 October 2024)-The most viewed entertainment program on Linear TV became when exercising and news were removed from the comparison. The arrival of SeaCrest helped “Wheel” to give his highest best premiere monthly audience in three years.
“Wheel” just wrapped his 42nd season in syndication. The Syndie Strip is produced by Sony Pictures Television and distributed in the interior by CBS Media Ventures and internationally by Paramount Global Content Distribution. Bellamie Blackstone is an exec producer.
Sony and CBS continue to fight for their long -term partnership for both “Jeopardy!” and “wheel.” For decades, Sony produced the series (after he had taken over the production company from the original producer Merv Griffin), while CBS was the syndication distributor (after he had taken over the original distribous conference world).
