What Kody Brown’s wife Robyn told him in the Surprise Special Forces video

Kody Brown received a surprise message from his wife Robin Brown while competing on Fox’s Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test.

During the Thursday, November 13 episode of the show, the recruits received videos from their loved ones as the Directing Staff (DS) watched – and assessed – how emotional their reactions were to the well wishes.

Kody’s pre-recorded message came from Robyn, 47, who said: ‘Hello handsome, I’m sure you’ll charm everyone and make friends. [You must be] just impress everyone with what you can achieve and what you can do.

She continued, “Please know that the children and I are praying for you every day. Sending you light and love.”

The Season 4 contestant was visibly moved by Robyn’s show of support. The DS argued about whether Kody’s tears were “real” after watching the video. Kody, 56, previously got very emotional while discussing his family life on the show.

Sister Womenwhich premiered on TLC in 2010 Us to Kody’s life as a polygamist. He was already married to Meri Brown, Janelle Brown And Christine Brown when he met fourth wife Robyn. He and Robyn legally married in December 2014 so he could adopt her three children from a previous marriage. (The couple have two children of their own, Solomon, 13, and Ariella, 9.)

However, Kody’s first three marriages did not last. Christine, 53, announced their separation in November 2021, followed by Janelle, 56, who revealed in December 2022 that she and Kody had split. Meri, 54, confirmed her divorce from Kody in January 2023.

“There ended up being some bad blood in the family because of the divorces. In some cases, communication with my children stopped,” Kody said in an episode earlier this month. “If you don’t have a deep bond with your children, it’s a disappointment. But there are probably some things that I won’t own. I will own where I should.”

Kody was also asked about the “pros and cons” of his lifestyle – including any “cons.”

“I had 18 children with four wives,” Kody said. “It’s been three divorces, and I would never do that again – I would never marry again.”

The reality star explained that he has always been “a believer,” adding, “I grew up in a whole culture that had it as a side note to their belief system. My father had three wives.’

In the same November episode, Kody started crying when questioned about the ongoing estrangement between him and some of his children.

“[My calling] would be a husband and father. I had four women in the household. [That caused issues] within the family. There’s always the accusation that I was in favor of it [child] about the other,” he recalled. “They turned against them [me]. They said, ‘I don’t need daddy or want daddy in my life.’

Kody found himself “offended by a lot” of what his children did. “They rejected me. I felt like I was giving everything I had to my children as long as they were involved with me. They always reciprocated,” he explained.

The DS pointed out that Kody may not have taken his “proper responsibility in the consequences” with his children.

“I don’t want to admit that I’m wrong sometimes. I don’t like being wrong,” Kody admitted. “There was a point in my life when I was worried about everyone. I should have had a strong relationship with my children. I’m at a place in my life now where I really want to say I was wrong.”

He continued, “My failure is that I thought I knew I was a father and a husband. I really thought I knew that and I got that wrong. I got it wrong in so many ways and I hated it. I hated being blamed for it — so it made me resistant to ownership.”
