Almost a week after the famous chef died at the age of 55 on June 17, Food Network announced that it will broadcast the last season Worst chefs in Americaentitled Worst chefs in America: talented and terrible. Chef Gabe Bertaccini, who organized the season together with Burrell, said that the late TV personality was “invested like that” in the series.

“It was her baby. She was not there for the salary,” he told people.

Bertaccini also remembered their first encounter before they filmed the 29th season and said that they ‘really tied people about food, about (his) journey, (his) story’.

“I remember that she was so busy with who I was, where I came from. And I really saw a side of Anne that, because until that time I just saw her on TV, so I saw a side of Anne who was so human and so interested and so curious, and just smart and fun and witty,” he revealed.

“She was exactly who you see on TV.”

The Italian chef explained: “It doesn’t matter if you met her now or 10 years ago, she was just generous with her knowledge, her time.”
