‘Wednesday’ season 2 plagued by Jenna Ortega; Season 3 is discussed

“Wednesday” Season 2 will premiere on Netflix somewhere in 2025, but it sounds like ideas are already being called for episodes afterwards.
Jenna Ortega, the star of the Hit Dark Comedy series, told Collider that the writers “Renten and throw away ideas” for season 3 of the “Addams Family” offshoot.
“We didn’t get an official thumb up or something like that, but I know the writers are … with such a show, you want to get the game first,” said Ortega.
And although there is still no release date for the second season of “Wednesday”, Ortega gave an update about the long -awaited episode.
“We are still in the processing. I did ADR for it two weeks ago, “she said. “That is the funny thing about these jobs that you are ready, you wrap, but you are not really ready. So I will probably work on it until the end.”
Ortega also teased some film references in the coming episodes. With half of the episodes of the first season directed by executive producer Tim Burton, “Wednesday” got inspiration from gothic and horror classics such as “Beetlejuice”, “Carrie” and “Prom Night”. Speaking of season 2, Ortega said: “Visually I can say that we have one of the nicest pleasure we’ve ever had.”
“It is strange to talk about one frame like this, but there is a frame of Pugsley that rolls his eyes back with this device around his head – that is all I can say – and it reminds me so much of ‘full metal jacket’. It is insane. So bizarre,” Ortega said.
She added that there is a “entire episode based on slashers” in season 2, plus more “horror references”.
“I feel that we had a little more confidence, and that’s why we felt that we could do larger, more extensive sequences, which is fun,” said Ortega.
Fresh from her big turn in 2024’s ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’, Ortega can then be seen in A24’s horror comedy ‘Death of a Unicorn’, on March 28.
