Waymo limits service ahead of today’s ‘No Kings’ protests

Robotaxi company Waymo in Alphabet limits the service due to the planned national ‘no kings’ protests against President Donald Trump and his policy.

A spokesperson for Waymo confirmed the changes in Wired On Friday. The service is reportedly affected in San Francisco, Austin, Atlanta and Phoenix and is fully suspended in Los Angeles. It is not clear how long the limited service will last.

As part of protests last weekend in Los Angeles against the immigration content of the Trump government, five Waymo vehicles were set on fire and painted with anti-immigration and customs enforcement messages (ICE). In response, Waymo Service in the center of LA.
