Jacob Elordi really transformed into ‘Frankenstein’

Jacob Elordi transformed masterfully in The Creature for Frankensteinwhich was the result of 11 hours in the makeup chair.

“I had about four weeks to really get ready for production,” Elordi said Tudum in November 2025. “There is a point where you have to leave the world behind. You have to emotionally close all the doors of your home. You close your ears and eyes and change the way you see things – all the normal things you would do in a day, like eating and showering. They have to start a new life in order to move on to something else.”

He played alongside Oscar Isaac, Mia Goth And Christopher Waltz in the science fiction thriller, an experience that both Elordi and the audience will certainly never forget.

“This cast is incredible,” Elordi reflected. “These are all heavy hitters and people I’ve seen my whole life. Working with them was amazing. We just ripped open our chests and showed each other everything we’ve got. It’s like being in a candy store. These actors are all my favorite sour worms.”

‘Euphoria’ Season 3 wrapped shooting

It really felt like it took forever Euphoria season 3 got off the ground, but Jacob Elordi wrapped up filming for his character we love to hate, Nate Jacobs.

“I had so much fun shooting the show,” he said Vanity fair in December 2025. “It felt like I was playing a completely different character because so much time has passed. It was also exciting to come back because in the first season of that show I would be bothered [series creator] Sam Levinson on how much I wanted to make movies and how much I love movies. I felt like the prodigal son returning with my bags full of stories about the films I had made. I thought, ‘Father, look what I’ve collected!’”

Elordi also reflected on how his work continued Euphoriathat started with season 1 in 2019, led him to acquire other acting roles and bigger opportunities.

“I was given the opportunity to participate [Deep Water director] Adrian Lyne at the same time as making Euphoria. “I’ve always been very lucky in the sets I found myself in, but I felt a noticeable change – whether it was just because I finally felt like I was getting the work that gave me the opportunity to do the kind of preparation I wanted to do, to play the characters I wanted to play for a long time,” said the Priscilla actor.

“I think when I was working with it Sofia Coppola“For me there was a noticeable change in perception,” he continued. “But it had also taught me a little bit about the world, because Euphoria alone is full of excellent performances – like really, really detailed work. But then it gets lost in this kind of social lens, because of the popularity. In Australia, [we call it] ‘tall poppy syndrome.’ When something is so great and critically acclaimed, it loses some of its power. Or it’s not cool to like it because so many people like it.”

Season 3 of Euphoria will officially premiere in April 2026.

The drama surrounding the casting of Jacob Elordi for ‘Wuthering Heights’

Even earlier a trailer for Wuthering Heights released in November 2025, many fans of Emily Brontë’s 1847 novel were critical of the casting of Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff, as the book suggests the character is a person of color.

“We read the same book? It was dark, tortured and their love story toxic,” one person criticized via Instagram in September 2025. “To each their own, but for myself I have never set the expectation that a film adaptation will ever be exactly like the book. There are films that are close to the story, but good films in their own right, some that completely miss the mark. Less expectations, less disappointment, especially until I see the film.”

“Not to be that one friend who is too woke, but to bleach class and racial otherness from strangling heights to sell a hot, whitewashed romance really pisses me off,” a second person wrote.

The official Instagram page then promoted the film with the tagline: “Inspired by the greatest love story of all time.”

“Calling Wuthering Heights the greatest love story ever is WILD,” one person wrote in an Instagram comment. “It’s so funny to call it ‘the greatest love story of all time’, man, everyone in Wuthering Heights hates each other.”

Additionally, the age of the characters in the book versus the movie was also up for debate, along with the heavily erotic undertones in the trailer.

“A passionate and tumultuous love story set against the backdrop of the Yorkshire moors, exploring the intense and destructive relationship between Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw,” according to the official synopsis.

Still, everyone will have to wait until February 13, 2026 to see the story come to life.

“I think so [director Emerald Fennell] has done is really perfect and super beautiful,” Elordi teased in an interview in September 2025 with WJ. Magazine. “It’s electric. And it’s also like nails on a chalkboard. It does something. It affects you in some way, good or bad, but it will move you.”

Jacob Elordi clapped back

Elordi tried to keep a low profile with a baseball cap and headphones in his ears.

“You all make it very difficult for me to live,” Elordi repeated again. “You’re making things very difficult for me.”

Months earlier, he was featured in a video shared via TikTok at the Venice International Film Festival in September, which has since gone viral. In the clip, Elordi was seen talking to a worker before posing with fans. “I’m going to take a picture here. Don’t ever tell me what to do,” he was heard telling the worker.
