Virgin Atlantic appoints Anthony Uphill as Vice President of Sales | News

Virgin Atlantic today announces the appointment of Anthony Uphill as Vice President of Sales, who will join the travel company on May 5, 2026.
In his new role, Anthony will be responsible for the airline’s sales performance, with direct responsibility for corporate and agency sales. He will work closely with joint venture partners Delta Air Lines, Air France and KLM, while exploring new revenue growth opportunities with SkyTeam and other partner airlines across Virgin Atlantic’s global portfolio.
Anthony brings extensive experience in the global travel industry, including senior commercial sales positions at two major international airlines, as well as leadership positions at Amex Global Business Travel and, most recently, Amex Travel. At Amex Travel, he was commercially responsible for the portfolio of international airline partners, driving strategic revenue growth and delivering greater value and exclusive benefits to American Express’ premium Card Members.
