Usha Vance insists husband JD is ‘nicest, funniest guy’

Second Lady Usha Vance is trying to reshape the way Americans see her husband, but critics aren’t buying it. RadarOnline.com can reveal.
Her glowing description of Vice President JD Vance quickly sparked fierce online reactions, with social media users mocking what they see as a less-than-convincing image makeover.
During a Fox News interview with Kayleigh McEnany, Usha was asked to share something people might not know about her husband.
“He’s just the nicest and funniest man,” she said.
“He is truly a wonderful person to be around, and our children and our family have so much more joy because he is a part of it,” she continued. “I wish people saw more of that.”
The reaction on social media was immediate and cutting.
“She must be able to be easily amused because he has the personality of a mushroom,” one user wrote.
“She must be a terrible person too. That’s the only explanation,” said another.
Others rejected the characterization outright, with one critic saying: “No ma’am. He has terrorized this country with his heartless lies and actions. The last thing he is is nice or funny.”
“This sounds like something she would say to her friends when they ask why he did that damn thing in public again,” another added.
Skepticism quickly turned to ridicule.
“The funny thing is she finds this convincing,” one user wrote.
‘She’s so dirty. And a liar just like her asshole,” someone else wrote.
“‘Funniest.’ Usha girl you could have at least tried to make it believable,” said another.
Others argued that the need to explain undermined the claim itself.
“The fact that no one knows he is a ‘nice, funny’ guy shows how terribly he has behaved in public,” one person wrote.
“If he was nice and funny we would know,” one user stated.
Someone else said: “Maybe more people would see it if he actually showed it. Seems like he’d rather keep showing that he’s a….”
Another user gave a blunt review: “Vance is anything but funny or nice and he’s dumber than dirt! America knows everything it needs to know about her husband, a total Trump sycophant with no independent thinking!”
Usha’s comments are part of wider media coverage related to her new podcast, Story time with the Second Ladywhich she has framed as a ‘reading advertisement’ focusing on family life and everyday moments.
The timing of the image burnishing move hasn’t gone unnoticed, especially as JD prepares to step into the spotlight for his own upcoming media blitz.
He is expected to promote his new memoir, Communion: finding my way back to faithslated for release in June — a rollout that some observers say could double as an early step to position itself for a possible 2028 presidential run.
