US chipmakers could see bigger tax credits if Trump’s spending bill passes

The semiconductor industry could see a large tax benefit if the Trump administration can withstand the current version of its expenditure account.
The latest version of the ‘large, beautiful bill’ of the Trump administration, which has already been adopted in the Senate, will increase the tax credit for chip makers for building factories in the US from 25% to 35%, such as Originally reported by CNBC.
Companies such as Intel, TSMC and Micron Technology can pick these benefits if they continue to expand their US production efforts.
This proposed tax credit could give the semiconductor industry a necessary boost after recent requirements of Chip export license, with regard to the sale of advanced AI chips to China, have resulted in material income hits to several domestic chip makers.
