Firefighters in the north of Idaho responded to a brush fire on Sunday … and now two people have been shot and killed.
The Sheriff’s Office of Kootenai County said that firefighters responded to the reports of a brush fire this afternoon around 1:30 pm local time on Canfield Mountain. The shooting started about 30 minutes later, the authorities say.

The two people who were shot and killed are firefighters, CNN Reports. Despite the shooting that starts more than four hours ago, there is currently no one in custody.
The brush fire can be set to lure firefighters to the stage before the shooting, CNN adds. However, motivation is still unclear at the moment. The 911 -Audio from the scene records the hectic situation.
Sheriff from Kootenai County Robert Norris Says that the department is not sure how many shooters there are … But he promises local law enforcement – in collaboration with the FBI – will neutralize this threat.
Several heroic firefighters were attacked today while responding to a fire in Noord -Idaho. This is a horrible direct attack on our brave firefighters. I ask all the Idahoans to pray for them and their families while we wait to learn more. Teresa and I are deeply sad.

The Governor of Idaho Brad Little Brought to social media to share a statement about the incident … to call it a “horrible direct attack on our brave firefighters.”
The local population has been asked to stay away from the area, because this is still an active shooting situation.
