Turkish Airlines has rejoined the Board of Directors of AIRE | News

Participating in the joint efforts of the international aviation sector at various levels, Turkish Airlines continues its robust presence in the Airlines International Representation in Europe (AIRE), an aviation organization headquartered in Brussels that represents its member airlines in interactions with European legislative and executive institutions. Through the joint efforts of its member airlines, AIRE is actively involved in many areas of the aviation industry, particularly in the areas of sustainability, operational efficiency and passenger rights.
In line with this mission, Dr. Özlem Özyön, SVP International Relations and Alliances of Turkish Airlines, elected Vice President of AIRE, further strengthening the national carrier’s role within the European aviation ecosystem.
With more than 25 years of professional experience in the aviation sector, Özlem Özyön, in her new role as Vice President of AIRE, will contribute to the governance and institutional development of the organization, while also representing the interests of the aviation sector in contacts with the European Union institutions and strengthening the dialogue between airlines and regulators.
Commenting on her appointment, Özlem Özyön, SVP International Relations and Alliances of Turkish Airlines, said: “I am delighted to take on the role of Vice President of AIRE at a time when close cooperation between regulators and airlines is more important than ever. This responsibility represents an important opportunity to foster constructive dialogue, shape progressive policies and amplify the voice of airlines within the regulatory landscape.”
