Trump’s name in New Commanders Stadium would be ‘beautiful’, White House says

President Donald Trump
Reportedly wants name in new Commanders stadium…
White House calls idea ‘beautiful’

President Donald Trump reportedly wants to turn the new home of the Washington Commanders into a “Trump Stadium”…and the White House isn’t denying it!
Here’s the deal… an ESPN report released Saturday claims that 47 has expressed a desire to have the Commanders’ soon-to-open $3.7 billion stadium named after him.
We’ve contacted the White House and the press secretary Karoline Leavitt said it would be a “nice” name for the place… and claimed that “it was President Trump who made the rebuilding of the new stadium possible.”
It is unclear what exactly Leavitt means by Trump making reconstruction possible. In July, he threatened to block construction of the new stadium if the Washington Commanders did not return to their old “Redskins” nickname.
According to ESPN, the only thing the Washington Commanders can’t name is their stadium…the District of Columbia Council leases the stadium to the team and the National Park Service manages the land.
The new stadium will be built on the land after which the RFK Stadium is named Robert F Kennedywhere Trump may have gotten the idea from – still stands. The Commanders left the stadium in 2019.
And we’re sure the Commanders would want to sell the naming rights to a wealthy corporate sponsor who would pay millions for the chance to put their brand on the stadium.
According to ESPN, Trump does not want to pay or wants a wealthy sponsor to pay on his behalf. He just wants the team to pay tribute to him for free, the report said.
President Trump will attend the Commanders game on Sunday… and maybe he’ll just make his wishes clear to the owner Josh Harris when they meet face to face.
