Trump unveiled Alcatraz plans hours after ‘Escape from Alcatraz’ was broadcast

During an Oval Office press conference on Monday, Trump was asked why he decided that he had to revive Alcatraz as a prison after it had been closed for decades, making the business Mogul a walking reaction, including his own cinematic vision.

He said, “Well, I think I should be a movie maker.

“I mean, it represents something very strong, very powerful, in terms of law and order. Our country needs law and order. Alcatraz is, I would say, the ultimate, right? Alcatraz, singing and Alcatraz, the films. But now it is a museum, believe it or not. Many people go there.”

Referring to Morris’s flight attempt, together with the brothers John and Clarence Anglin, the president said “Nobody has ever escaped” but “one person almost came there.” In telling the president, “they thought his clothes were rather poorly torn” and full of “shark bites”.
