Trump says he was not responsible for ending jacket’s ‘late show’

Donald Trump says he had nothing to do with CBS who canceled ‘the late show with Stephen Colbert’.

In a post to Truth Social On Tuesday, Trump claimed that “everyone” thinks he was “only responsible” before the end of “The Late Show”, an accusation of the president “not true!” He claimed that the reason Stephen Colbert was canceled was due to “$ 50 million dollars a year” in losing and a “pure lack of talent”.

“Everyone says that I was only responsible for firing Stephen Colbert from CBS,” Late Night, “Trump wrote. “That is not true! The reason he was fired was a purely lack of talent, and the fact that this shortage of CBS cost $ 50 million dollars a year – and it would only get worse!”

Trump further said that the “even less talented” Jimmy Kimmel, who is organizing ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmy Live!” And the “weak and very uncertain” Jimmy Fallon of NBC’s “The Tonight Show”, the next on the chopping block.

“Next will be an even less talented Jimmy Kimmel, and then, a weak and very uncertain, Jimmy Fallon,” he added. “The only real question is, who will go first? Show Biz and television is a very simple company. If you get reviews, you can say or do something. If you don’t, you will always become a victim. Colbert became a victim for himself, the other two will follow.”

While they are not being done in more detail in Trump’s post, Seth Meyers recently addressed his future in the late night space. He said that the fate of his show: “Late night with Seth Meyers”, “outside of my control”.
