Trump mentions Fox -Guestheer Jeanine Pirro as an interim -American lawyer for DC

Jeanine Pirro leaves Fox News after almost two decades to become Interim -Mamerican lawyer for the District of Columbia. President Trump announced her appointment on Thursday.

Pirro, a former land judge and public prosecutor, joined Fox News in 2006 and is currently a co-host of “The Five”, who has been routinely the highest rated program for cable news.

The news comes after Trump dropped his previous pick earlier in the day, Ed Martin, who “emerged as one of the most passionate defenders of Oproers of January 6,” “” according to The New York Times. Martin was confronted with increasing opposition to Republicans in the congress. “He is a great person and he didn’t get the support of people I thought,” Trump said, speaking with reporters in the White House. Trump said that Martin will play a role at the Ministry of Justice ‘or whatever’, per CNN.

Trump announced Pirro’s appointment on Truth Social, his social media platform.

“I am pleased to announce that Jeanine Pirro judge is appointed interim lawyer of the United States for the District of Columbia,” Trump wrote. “Jeanine was an assistant officer of justice for Westchester County, New York, and then started to serve as a district judge and public prosecutor, where she was the first woman ever to be chosen in those positions. During her office time, Jeanine was a powerful criminal for victims of crime.”

Trump added: “Jeanine is incredibly well qualified for this position and is considered one of the best public prosecutor in the history of the state of New York. She is in a class itself. Congratulations Jeanine!”

Trump has used to other personalities of Fox News to save positions in his administration. They include Minister of Defense Pete Hegseeth and transport secretary Sean Duffy, who was previously a FOX Business -Gastheer and Cast member on MTV’s “The Real World: Boston” in the late 90s.
