“He consistently uses his platform for good, so it is my honor to recognize Travis Kelce,” Hunt said in his speech, which his daughter Gracie shared via social media. “Since Travis came to Kansas City 12 years ago, he has established himself as one of the best to ever wear a Chiefs jersey – and one of the best tight ends to ever play the game.”
He added: “Travis was just as impressive off the field. His 87 and Running Foundation has made a difference in the lives of young people as it prepares them for success inside and outside the classroom. His partnership with Operation Breakthrough has provided thousands of meals to area families.”
Kelce joined his boss on stage and showed off another item from his extensive headwear collection: a red Santa hat.
