Tommie Wehrle named president of LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance

A graduate of the University of Missouri, Wehrle has also been involved in LGBTQ+ advocacy – serving as co-chair for three years and currently serving as an advisor for Real estate everywhere LGBTQ+ employee resource group, REALPRIDE.

“I have had the honor and privilege of having a career in the real estate industry. It is a thrill for me to be of service, impacting the lives of homebuyers and sellers, along with empowering/guiding agents and broker leadership to success,” said Wehrle. “I believe our industry has a unique opportunity to be the ones to advocate for removing all barriers to homeownership for all marginalized groups, including the LGBTQ+ community.

“The Alliance will continue to advocate and present examples of discrimination that hinder LGBTQ+ real estate professionals and our clients. We are also committed to welcoming real estate professionals with LGBTQ+ children to the Alliance. With a growing membership base, the opportunities to influence change grow every day.”

Richard Woods, longtime broker/owner of Woods Real Estate Services in San Diego, will serve as first vice president in 2026 and is expected to become president in 2027.
