Today’s Sheinelle Jones breaks down from the death of cancer about the late husband

Today Co-host Sheinelle Jones has shared heartbreaking how she has been dealing since her husband, Uche Ojeh, died in May after a fight with an aggressive form of brain cancer, RadarOnline.com can reveal.

Jones, 47. Sit with Savannah Guthrie to open up for her pain, as well as how their three children deal without their father in an interview that was broadcast on the NBC morning show on Friday 5 September. She had been absent from Today Since December 2024, leave of absence “to tackle a family health case.”

Ojeh left the three young children of the couple behind when he died at the age of 45.

“My heart is crushed in a million pieces,” Known Jones. “The life I know since I was 19 is no longer,” she explained how the broadcaster met and fell in love with her husband while they were students at Northwestern University. The Hogeschool -Lijvjes married in September 2007. Ojeh was only 45 years old when he passed.

“I now have three own children and they have lost their father, and I am their mother. It’s a fuck. So how are me? You know, it’s day to day,” Jones said about her emotional condition.

“I am proud of myself for how I have dealt so far,” she continued as she gave herself Grace. “I am proud of my children for how we could have tried to continue. But it’s terrible. It’s just terrible. And it stinks. But I’m here, I breathe and I am ok.”

“It’s a nightmare. But something that you said a lot to me these months, sometimes it’s a beautiful nightmare,” Jones told Guthrie, 53.

The NBC personality further remembered how she and her husband used to be in her dormitory at the university and stared at a bell tower and “just talk and dream and sometimes just not talking and being used to it.”

“And almost 30 years ahead. I am in this beautiful, beautiful hospital room and we looked at this beautiful view of New York City,” she remembered.

“Here we are again, not talking, and I remember that I was staring out the window, and I am something like:” Oh my God, as if it is like this crazy circle moment here, we are again, not talking, and it feels like a beautiful nightmare. “

Jones remembered: “It felt bigger than we, but at the end of the day, as when we closed the door and it was only us. That was always when we had the feeling that we were at our best. And my 19-year-old himself did it, and then my 47-year-old himself did it again.”

Ojeh’s cancer fight

Jones and Ojeh were marryed 17 years before his death.

Guthrie noticed how Ojeh had been in his cancer fight for a long time.

Jones confessed that the couple got his “devastating diagnosis” just before she ran the New York City Marathon in November 2023. The TV -guestheer continued with completing the race to prove that she could make the “hard things”, including Ojeh’s health crisis.

“The way in which he came together and the way we came together and the way we saw the best of humanity, that was wonderful,” she reminded herself.
