Tim Cook reportedly tells employees Apple ‘must’ win in AI

Apple CEO Tim Cook held an hour-long all-hand meeting in which He told employees that the company should win in AIAccording to Mark Gurman van Bloomberg.
The meeting came after a profit call in which Cook told investors and analysts that Apple would “considerably” increase its AI investments. It seems that he had a similar message for Apple employees, reportedly told: “Apple has to do this. Apple will do this. This is a bit of us to grab.”
Despite the launch of a variety of AI-driven functions in the past year under the Apple Intelligence-Paraplu, the promised upgrades of the company to his voice assistant Siri have been considerably delayed. And Cook seemed to acknowledge that the company has touched its competitors.
“We have rarely been the first,” he said. “There was a PC for the Mac; there was a smartphone for the iPhone; there were many tablets for the iPad; there was an MP3 player before iPod.” But in his telling, that did not stop that Apple invented the “modern” versions of those products.
