The world’s most terrifying Disney deaths as the count rises to 68

Before the two most recent suicides occurred at Disney World, similar incidents were reported at the park in 1992, 2010, 2016 and 2020.

Ciara Bogdanovic, certified psychotherapist and founder/owner of Wormwood psychotherapycommented on the recent suicides involving guests.

“Suicide tourism refers to the phenomenon where people travel to a remote location to die by suicide,” Bogdanovic explains Radar. “People may choose locations based on the symbolism of their lives, popularity, the desire to get away from their loved ones, or the desire to make a statement.”

Therapist and coach John Sovec in Pasadena, California, echoed a similar sentiment, saying Disney is “a place of nostalgia and comfort” for people with mental health issues.

“They often carry memories of better times and crave the warmth and familiarity of that nostalgia in a final search for happiness as their last experience before taking their own life,” he added.

On the other hand, both experts warned about the possible ‘copycat’ suicide attempts at the theme park.
