‘The Villains of Valley View’ canceled on Disney Channel

“The Villains of Valley View” has been canceled after two seasons on Disney Channel, according to series co-creator and executive producer Chris Peterson.

“All good things must come to an end… and after two incredible seasons, that is the case with ‘The Villains of Valley View,’” Peterson wrote in a statement posted on X Wednesday evening. “We are beyond grateful to our incredible cast, writers and crew. We would also like to thank all loyal fans. You made us part of your family and you will forever be part of ours.”

Peterson continued, “While it was never our intention to end the series on a cliffhanger, we hope that Amy, Hartley and the Maddens will live on forever in your hearts (and on Disney+).”

The multi-camera comedy show, from Disney Branded Television, follows a family of supervillains who are forced to hide their powers and adopt “normalcy” in the suburbs. The official synopsis reads: “When teenage supervillain Havoc rises against the leader of all villains, he threatens to destroy her and her family – forcing them to change their identities and hide out in suburban Texas. With the help of their super-happy new neighbor Hartley, Havoc (now Amy), her brother Chaos (now Jake) and the rest of her family will have to hide their powers and give up their reckless evil ways in favor of something they’ve spent their entire life fought against… being good.’

Series regulars include Isabella Pappas as Amy/Havoc, Kayden Muller-Janssen as Hartley, Lucy Davis as Eva/Surge, James Patrick Stuart as Vic/Kraniac, Malachi Barton as Colby/Flashform and Reed Horstmann as Jake/Chaos.

“The Villains of Valley View” was created by Peterson and Bryan Moore, who also serve as executive producers and showrunners. The second season of the live-action comedy series ended in December last year.

Disney did not immediately respond to request for comment.
