While Shepherd could joke about his firing The viewshe was a little more serious during a June episode Sherri.

It’s just like when I got fired The view, I was sitting there looking in the mirror in my dressing room and said, ‘Oh my God, Lord, what am I going to do?’ Because I did it The view for seven years. I live here. Don’t know. I’m older. I don’t know if Hollywood will remember me. And you know, and I remember a small, still voice saying, “Do you trust me?”
Shepherd remembered that immediately after he left The viewshe got a role in Kevin Hart’s film Ride alongfollowed by an offer to play the wicked stepmother in a Broadway production of Cinderella starring Keke Palmer, and the jobs just kept coming.
“After they let me go, I never fell short of paying my bills, anything.
