‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ season 3 ratings: 70 million viewers

#TeamConrad has already won, but here’s another reason to celebrate: Season 3 of “The Summer I Turned Pretty” has reached an impressive 70 million viewers, according to Amazon MGM Studios.

That total was counted 70 days after the season premiere and 7 days after the finale. It marks a 65% increase over Season 2’s 70-day total in 2023. And in addition to improvements over last season’s stats, Season 3 of “The Summer I Turned Pretty” grew over the course of its release. According to Amazon, viewership peaked with the finale’s debut on September 17.

Among women ages 18 to 34, “The Summer I Turned Pretty” is Amazon Prime Video’s most-watched television season ever. 60% of the show’s audience was outside the US, with many viewers in Britain, Germany and Brazil. From its premiere on July 16 to its finale on September 17, the series was Amazon’s most-watched title worldwide and ranked No. 1 in more than 140 individual countries.

Amazon will get another chance to enjoy the audience size provided by “The Summer I Turned Pretty”; on the day the final episode was released, the company announced that the story would end up in a feature film.

Jenny Han, who wrote the books on which the series is based and served as showrunner, said in a statement: “When I first wrote ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ 17 years ago, I could never have imagined that it would resonate with so many people around the world and spark such a passionate global conversation. To have the opportunity to take my books from page to screen and see fans embrace it with such enthusiasm is a dream come true. I am so grateful to everyone who worked on this show, including our exceptional cast and crew, and to Prime Video for supporting this series and my vision. This summer has been nothing short of magical and I can’t wait to welcome everyone back to Cousins Beach for the movies!”
