‘The Rookie’ star Nathan Fillion on Show’s Success and James Bond

During the “The Rookie” panel on the San Diego Comic-Con this year, actor Nathan Fillion by Zander Hawley was on stage for the Ballroom 20 audience on stage.
Since the series 8 starts, Fillion and Showrunner Alexi Hawley spoke about the success of the show and how the procedural drama has found an audience with several generations, including families and young teenagers.
“I have friends who are in themselves good actors. They call me:” Hey, man, my daughter has just turned 11 and she and her friends are all crazy about ‘De Rookie’. May I please have a birthday with you? “I think that’s great,” Fillion revealed.
“I think that television, in particular television with many episodes with characters that you can really invest in, has become comfort food for people,” says Hawley. “There are 1000 shows in the air, but it feels like people take a lot of shows that they look forward to. They are an escape. I take that very seriously. It does not mean that bad things do not happen in our show, that there are no bets, that we sometimes don’t get dark. People really see us as an important storm.”
Fillion and Hawley spoke about the coming season, which will be released in 2026. During the panel, a sizzle reel revealed that the LAPD will make a trip to Prague in the premiere of season 8. The images show the new and returning cast members, and teases what the next one is for John Nolan.
“In the first episode we go to Prague and [John] James Bond in the episode. We have many exciting stories for [the cast] This season. ”
