The Rookie season 8 cast: who returns and what is the next one

Shawn Ashmore

Chavez has been playing Celina Juarez since season 5 and completes her Rookie training during season 7. She will return for season 8 – and her romance with Rodege Bronson (Zander Hawley) could continue, according to Hawley.

He returned later in season 7 after he claimed that his cancer diagnosis was an insurance camp and was again part of the training program. Seth was shot during season 7, episode 16, in line with service and needed his leg amputated.
While fans thought it was the last one to see from Seth, Hawley told TVLINE That may not be the case. “A little shockingly deserved to happen” with that character, the showrunner said in July, teasing: “And then we will see where it goes.”
