The new chapter of Dolly Parton if the icon continues after the man’s death

Despite rumors about an open marriage – and her own recognition that she is a “flirt” – she was always faithful to Carl.
“I was not going to get married, but you know how love goes,” said Parton, who was 18 when she met Dean in a laundry on the day she moved to Nashville to launch her music career. Two years later, in 1966, they married.
“We are really proud of our marriage. It is the first for both of us and the last.”
Their secret of happiness? Carl supported her career – but never wanted anything to do with it.
After she had attended a prize show with her, the year that they were married, she remembered that he said to her: “Now I want you to be doing great, but you never ask me to go to one of these damn things, because I’m not going. ‘
“And then I knew that I will just keep him as good as possible private. I have to be in the audience and I belong to the audience. But I am such a private person, and my husband was too.”
