HBO’s new series, The MortierFocuses on the disturbing actions of David Sconce, who is the great -grandson of the founder and son of owners Jerry W. Sconce and Laurieanne Lamb Sconce.

After his professional football dreams were thrown away because of a torn ligament, he decided to run the family business – actually in the ground.

Motivated by his desire to maximize profit to help the company grow, the Stening burned several bodies in the same room.

Because of his disturbing actions, the family members of the deceased came not only the cremains of their beloved, but also with different people.

In addition to cremating multiple bodies at the same time, Sconce was also accused of stealing and selling corpses of gold jewelry and dental fillings, hiring hitms to attack business rivals and seem to mutilate.

The HBO series gave viewers a new look at the business and included a handful of interviews from those who worked in the funeral center – including Sconce.

“I could cremate a man in two hours, or you could stop 10 and take two and a half hours. So what would the difference be? There is none.”

The director, Joshua Rofé, sat down for a recent interview and admitted because of the HBO series: “I don’t want to be cremated. I know for sure.”

The horrifying matter of many decades ago included many horrors and disturbing events, some that could not even be included in the series.

A pathogenic incident came from Louis Quinones, who used to drive a van that got the dead bodies to be cremated in the Mortuary of Sconce.

He remembered how he was in a cold storage room one day where the mortuary bodies kept in the shelves, and he kicked a blanket aside on the floor, and expected nothing to be under.

After Quinones had felt slightly under the blanket, he lifted it to find the corpse of a baby.

After reading the baby’s tag on his ankle, he heard that he had delivered what was supposed to be the ashes of the baby weeks earlier to the child’s mother after she had paid for a cremation.

Rofé said, “That is another level of corruption.”

In 1989, Sconce was sentenced to five years in prison for mutilation of corpses, with massive cremations for $ 55 per body and hire strongers to attack three rival mortics.

A few years later he was released in 1991 after serving two and a half years.

Sconce was subsequently sentenced to 25 years to life in 2013 after violating the lifelong probation after he was convicted of having a stolen firearm.
