An Australian woman was found guilty of murder and attempted murder after a long -term process … where she was accused of poisoning the family of her alienated husband with mushroom cap, killing three of the four people who ate it.
There in Patterson Now it is confronted with life in prison because of the deadly lunch that took place in July 2023. At the time, the parents of her alienated husband, aunt and uncle came to her house for a meal … where she made homemade beef Wellington with mushrooms with Death Cap -Cap -Mushrons, very poisonous fungels.
Shortly thereafter, all four guests were admitted to the hospital with serious illness … Three of them died within a week, while surviving after weeks to spend medical treatment.
After deliberating 6 days, the jury was finally convinced that Patterterson deliberately poisoned her lunch guests, waved shocking witnesses and damn evidence.
Ian WilkinsonThe only survivor testified that Patterson told her guests that she had been diagnosed with cancer and debated about telling her children … who was unveiled in court as a lie.
She even tried to lure her alienated husband to lunch with his relatives, to text him after he refused: “I wanted it to be a special meal, because I may not be able to organize a lunch like this for a while.”
Patterson gave apparently conflicting reports about whether she was sick after lunch … and said she had days of diarrhea, while public prosecutors claimed that she did not show any signs of poisoning and continuous medical treatment arose.
The 50-year-old was accused of covering her spurs … Dumping a food dehydrator that she had shortly after the dead. In the stands she called it a “knee-jerk reaction to just dig deeper and to keep lying”, claiming that she threw it out of panic.
Patterson is still waiting for a conviction date.
