Teresa Giudice walks on ‘pins and needles’ around Melissa Gorga
The source revealed that the longtime reality star “has been completely on pins and needles and walking on eggshells around Melissa since they made up.”
“She is absolutely terrified that if she makes one wrong move it could spell doom in terms of escalating an issue and damaging their relationship again,” the insider claimed.
Although the couple was estranged for years, they made up late last year and have made a concerted effort to keep the peace.
Although they spent Christmas together, the insider noted that they “haven’t spent any time together since.”
“And even that day, Teresa was on her best behavior,” the source said.
Fans of RHONJ are all too familiar with an infamous scene where Gorga brought sprinkle cookies to Giudice’s house. Giudice would have hated them because she threw them in the garbage.
Gorga now has her own line of sprinkle cookies, and she lets Giudice try them out on camera on Christmas Eve.
“After the ‘sprinkle cookies’ were a problem for years, she tried Melissa’s cookies,” the source said. “And you could tell she had everything in her to say they were good and try to play nice.”
As for why Giudice is being cautious, the insider claimed that she is “scared” because “she knows they have to keep the peace to RHONJ to hopefully return.”
“Producers have made it abundantly clear that they will not film another season where they are at odds with each other and refuse to be in each other’s presence again,” they said.
“Teresa needs the money, and she loves the fame and attention that comes with being on the show. She literally swallows her pride and does everything she can to keep things at bay so they can get back on TV.”
Besides just playing nice in person, the insider explained that she also “avoids putting herself in a situation with Melissa where she might say the wrong thing, misinterpret something, or risk rocking the boat.”
“For now, she’s focused on getting it RHONJ back and returns to it,” they declared.
However, if and when the show starts filming again, things could change.
“Once they start shooting… well, who knows what will happen, but it’s certainly possible that she and Melissa will have a falling out, considering they’ll be forced to film together, and Teresa could potentially say something that could set her off,” the source explained.
“Of course, they can also get along and keep the peace, but… time will tell,” they concluded.
But for now, Teresa remains cautious and plays it safe, the source says.
