Teddi Mellencamp is planning the funeral in the midst of the struggle with phase 4 cancer
Mellencamp is now confronted with the reality that in the very near future her children might have to face life without her.
Stage 4 Cancer is the most advanced and serious stage of cancer and indicates that the cancer has spread further over the original site to other parts of the body.
She said: “I had six brain tumors and two lung tumors; they all came from melanoma that sowed in my body in these tumors.”
Given her grim prognosis, the treatment plan of Mellencamp has changed, where the star says: “I will be sure where we are on June 1. If you have to do a round, if there is another operation, if it is the end. It is a difficult pill to swallow.
“It must be extremely difficult to think at the end.”
“This is definitely the most difficult (I have confronted in my life), but now it feels less hard.
“When I was in the IC, it was incredibly difficult because I had no memory. One day I realized that it was my daughter’s birthday, and I couldn’t be there; it was really sad. It is still sad if I can’t be there for my children as I would be normal.”
