Teddi Mellencamp files for divorce from husband Edwin Arroyave

Mindy Small/Getty imagesTeddi Mellencamp and her husband, Edwin Arroyaveare split and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum decided to file for divorce after 13 years of marriage.
“After much care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” Mellencamp, 43, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, November 2. “My priority is my children and ensuring that every care is taken for their privacy and well-being during this new chapter.”
She added: ‘Making a public statement is not something I wanted to do, but in an effort to protect my family from unnecessary speculation and rumours, I felt that being open, honest and vulnerable was the best way forward.’
Mellencamp and 47-year-old Arroyave, who has not yet publicly addressed the split, have been married since 2011. They share three children: Slate, Dove and Cruz. (Arroyave is also father to daughter Isabella from a previous relationship.)

“When we first started, I honestly remember my first day being like, ‘F–, at what point do I tell everyone I’m getting divorced? When should I do this?’” Teddi said during a March 2023 episode from her podcast ‘Two Ts in a Pod’. “We are in our worst absolute phase because, honestly, for us it was really about a power struggle.”
She added: “We were always kind of alike when we were together. I rode horses, I was competitive and I was all of these things. Then I couldn’t get pregnant naturally, I did all these IVFs. Then suddenly he was in charge of our finances, and I had never been. I never had my own money, I had been working since I was seventeen. Then I just started hating him.”
Teddi and the businessman were eventually able to overcome their problems when she rediscovered self-love.
Since being diagnosed with skin cancer, Teddi Mellencamp has used her platform to remind fans to take care of their skin. Years later, in 2022, Teddi was diagnosed with skin cancer and Arroyave was by her side.
“I always say life and pain are inseparable and seeing @teddimellencamp embrace her pain and use it again for the greater good last night when she attended the @curemelanoma gala was a beautiful reminder of what she is capable of,” he wrote via Instagram on October 27, a week before Teddi confirmed her divorce plans. “Her story has already saved lives. And I couldn’t be prouder that she will continue to save more. I love you, Teds.”
Teddi’s podcast cohost, Tamra Judge, replied, “Mom and dad look great.”
