Supernatural reunion, Seth Rogen and Homelander

“The Boys” could not have all the fun at San Diego Comic Con.

At the end of the “Gen v” season 2 panel on Friday afternoon, the next fifth and last season of “The Boys” showed his very first teaser to the crowd of present in Ballroom 20. It was a short teaser, full of tons of super heroes violence and gore – because fans of “the boys” came to expect – and quickly watch.

The action unfolded quickly, but a few highlights include a new Supe character that looked like a bloody hair ball seemed to be on another character and someone who could only be described as a violent explosion in a bathroom stable.

Seth Rogen, who is an executive producer on “The Boys” and has appeared in a handful of cameor over the previous seasons, also appeared in the teaser. Just like newcomers Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins, who both play unknown characters. Both actors appeared together in a wink-of-YOU-Mis-it scene, in what the newest “supernatural” reunion is about “The Boys”. Showrunner Eric Kripke was also the maker of the beloved CW series and had already cast “Supernatural” stars Jensen Ackles, as the Captain America-like anti-hero soldier boy, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, as Joe Kessler, on “The Boys”. “Supernatural” fans had begged Kripke to bring more from their favorites to the Prime Video Superhero Show, and now their wishes have been granted.

The most memorable part of the teaser was a powerful explanation of the homelander of Antony Starr, in which he balts how “this is a safer, more godly nation” for an unseen crowd. At the end of season 4, Homelander essentially worked his way to the White House and is the real power behind the new American president. The country is under the state of siege and Homelander has collected the boys and other SUPES who do not want to “make America super again”.

At least one “Gen v” cast member was seen in the Quick Teaser: London Thor as Godolkin University student Jordan Li. That makes sense, as “Gen v” stars Maddie Phillips and Asa Germann appeared in season 4 final “The Boys” as pro-homelander enforcers who encourage their fellow classmates and former friends. The “Gen V” and “The Boys” cross-show Synergy continues with Erin Moriarty and Chace Crawford that appear in season 2 “Gen V”, which is coming this fall.

Many of “The Boys” Aluin come back for the last season, in addition to the aforementioned actors: Jack Quaid, Karl Urban, Jessie T. Usher, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Laz Alonso, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Cameron Crovetti, Susan Heyward, Valoret. New faces that come in season 5 are Daveed Diggs and Paul Reiser. Season 5 will release some time in 2026.
