Sunset’s Mary Bonnet thinks she got a “bad edit” in season 9

Maria Bonnet has no regrets about her experience in season 9 of Selling sunset – but she does have questions about how she was portrayed.

“They edited it. I had a really bad edit this time,” Mary, 45, exclusively shared We weekly at the exclusive unveiling of T-Mobile during the Grand Prix of Las Vegas. “Because so much happened.”

Mary stood by her response, especially in the aftermath of her robbery.

“My reactions were valid. They just didn’t show what it was,” she noted. “But I was also tense because I just got robbed. I was emotional because I barely slept. I was watching our neighbors get robbed, like every night, so I looked at the cameras.”

Mary continued, “So I’m sure I was emotional and not normal – just with everything that was going on. But there were reasons behind everything that were legitimate reasons and I’m not going to put anyone down by giving details.”

The real estate agent’s husband Romain Bonnetjumped in to support Mary and told Us“There was so much outside that was not shown. So it’s sad for people.” [when] it’s the whole story. The viewer just judges what he sees in the show, and that’s fair. But it’s not the whole story. So it’s just sad.”

Season 9, which premiered in October, continued with Mary and Chelsea Lazkani not on speaking terms. Later in the season, after Mary’s house was broken into, Chelsea, 32, sent her flowers and a note, which was depicted on screen.

However, Mary had questions about the timing and true purpose of the flower delivery. Breaking the fourth wall, Mary wondered if the producers had given Chelsea her address (and a warning about the robbery) so she would respond while they were filming.

“I’m frustrated with her because things like that happened and that’s why I didn’t think things were real.” Maria explained. “But the real part was also that the production orchestrated that and so I was angry at the production for doing that to me right after the robbery.”

Later in the season, Mary and Chelsea got into an argument during a group dinner, forcing co-owner Brett Oppenheim to intervene. Chelsea wasn’t happy when Brett asked the producers to stop filming, but Mary has since hinted that there was more to the story that didn’t make the cut.

“It would take a lot for Chelsea and I to be close again,” she admitted. “Because a lot has happened. Hence my reactions to things where I thought, ‘No, I’m not going to get involved anymore.'”

Mary’s insight comes after she previously expressed her frustration with season 9.

“I’ve put a lot of my life in the public eye. I’m really one of the few girls who puts their relationship on the show where they film in my house and I’m very open about all my private issues. So my house was my only safe haven,” she explained to Us. “Even the camera crews are not allowed in my office. They are not allowed in my closet or bedroom. Those things are just sacred spaces. The robbery could only have happened as an invasion.”

The reality star clarified that it was “not about materialistic things,” adding, “Other than a few family heirlooms that I can never get back, it was just an invasion of the security of my space. That was very, very difficult, and that’s why I got so upset about the flowers [from Chelsea]. I was tense about the robbery and then the flowers came and I thought, ‘Chelsea didn’t even know when I was filming. She doesn’t know my address.’ So I got a little angry – or very angry – but I feel like I gave everything to this show. I really understand that this is what we signed up for, so I’ve really involved them in a lot of things and I’m working with them. But I was a little tense with this one. ”

She concluded, “I’ve taken a lot of steps to really be true to myself and be honest with myself and work on the things in my life that I needed. I felt like I needed guidance on what’s good for me and how can I deal with it better? Because you can’t control all circumstances and I like to be in control. I’ve done a few things to make sure I can just understand and deal with things better without getting so upset.”

While fans wait for an update on a possible Season 10, Mary and Romain attended T-Mobile’s exclusive reveal, where executives took the stage at the Las Vegas Grand Prix to share important news and discuss how the Un-carrier is tackling a new customer barrier, along with what’s coming to LVGP this year. Because switching is a long and complex process, T-Mobile is here to solve it with a new experience on T-Life, using new AI-powered tools that make switching quick and easy.
