Sunset World Group celebrates International Women’s Day | News

In celebration of International Women’s Day, Sunset World Group hosted a series of special events across its hotels – Hacienda Tres Ríos, Sunset Royal, Sunset Marina, Sunset Fishermen, Ocean Spa and Laguna Suites – to recognize the valuable contributions of the women who make up the team. Activities included special breakfasts or lunches organized for female employees, as well as gatherings with live music, creating an atmosphere of celebration and recognition.
Thematic conferences were also held throughout the day, highlighting the power of women and the fundamental role they play in professional, family and social areas. As a central moment of the celebration, the ‘Sunset World Woman of the Year 2026’ award was presented at each Sunset World Group hotel, an award that honors female employees who stand out for their commitment, camaraderie and exemplary behavior within the organization. This prize is awarded through a secret ballot among the female employees themselves, who choose the colleague they consider a source of inspiration because of her performance and attitude.
2026 marks the fourth consecutive year of these awards, reaffirming the company’s commitment to equality, respect and the promotion of female talent. With these activities, Sunset World Group not only commemorates an important date, but also recognizes the dedication, leadership and resilience of the women who contribute every day to the success and growth of the organization.
