‘Stranger Things 5’ Finale Has 1.1 Million Reactions in Cinemas

The ‘Stranger Things’ series finale is shaping up to be a major theatrical event.
1.1 million people have signed up to watch the final episode of the Netflix sci-fi series in theaters on New Year’s Eve, according to a Instagram post from co-creator Ross Dufferwho also said 3,500 showtimes in more than 620 theaters are completely sold out.
Duffer teased that he and his brother Matt Duffer, his co-creator, would attend a screening or two. “What a way to end a ten-year journey together,” Duffer wrote. “Maybe we’ll see some of you in LA.”
Part 1 of Season 5 premiered with four episodes on Thanksgiving Day, and Part 2 followed with three more episodes on Christmas Day. Along with the theatrical release, the series finale will be released simultaneously on Netflix on December 31.
