‘South Park’ focuses on Trump’s DC takeover as season 27 episode 3

“South Park” is facing the takeover of Donald Trump Washington DC in the third episode of the 27th season, set for release on Wednesday, August 20 at 10 p.m.
The official “South Park” X account A teaser dropped for the new episode on Tuesday eveningtitled “Sickofancy.” In the teaser we see the pseudo mascot of the show, the towel, the pot-robbed anthropomorphic towel, arriving in Washington in Washington, but to be met hundreds of soldiers. Despite the dark clouds above and the tanks that roll through the streets, Towelie cheerfully proclaims when he approaches the lawn of the White House: “This seems the perfect place for a towel!”
After Trump called for an aggressive clearance of crime and homelessness in DC, he rolled hundreds of soldiers and federal agents in the streets of the Capitol. The White House also announced that it would install an “emergency commissioner” in the DC Metropolitan Police Department. On August 14, Alec Baldwin addressed the acquisitions in a Tiktok video. He said that Trump’s efforts in Washington and his move over the DC police “from such a great concern” is for him.
“What will happen? Will Trump federalize the police of New York City?” Said Baldwin. “What is afterwards? Chicago, La, Miami, Boston and so on? What is afterwards? The NFL? The NBA? Will he federalize them to take over?”
The announcements also caught the attention of DC Procurer -General Brian L. Schwalb, who approved the Trump administration for the “illegal” movements.
“By explaining a hostile acquisition of MPD, the administration abuses its limited, temporary authority under the Home Rule Act, infringing the right of the district to self-administration and endanger the safety of DC residents and visitors,” Schwalb said in a statement. “The illegal actions of the administration are an insult to the dignity and autonomy of the 700,000 Americans who call DC at home. This is the most serious threat to the home rule with which the district has ever had to deal with, and we are fighting to stop.”
