Sony Pictures is expanding Bein Media Deal for Mena, Turkey CONTERTRENTS

Bein Media Group, based in Doha, has a multi-year expansion with Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) inked and exclusive content rights in the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey.

The renewed agreement gives Bein first and second framework rights on the film Slate and television series Van Spe after theatrical releases. Content is rolled out on Bein’s entertainment channels, Bein on request and streaming platforms tod and Bein Connect in Arabic and English for Mena areas available, with English and Turkish versions available through the entertainment channels of Digiturk in Turkey.

Sony’s theatrical slate includes horror sequel “I know what you did last summer,” 28 years later, zombie -thriller “28 years later, video game -adjusting” to the dawn “and martial arts franchise entrance” karate kid: legends. “Recent Sony releases that can land on the Bein platforms include ‘Venom: The Last Dance’, ‘Kraven the Hunter’, Saturday Night Live Origin Story ‘SATURDAY NIGHT’, Oscar winner ‘I’m Still here’ and family film ‘Paddington in Peru’.

The television component includes fan-favorite series “Outlander” (seasons 1-8), medical drama “The Good Doctor” (seasons 1-7), adaptation of video games “Twisted Metal” (seasons 1-2) and anime titles of Crunchyroll including “Jujutsu Kaisen”.

The extension builds on the original agreement of Bein and Sony and strengthens Bein’s position as an important entertainment distributor in his coverage areas. Financial conditions have not been announced.
