SNL UK presenter Jack Whitehall jokes he has booked Scott Mills as his wedding DJ

Saturday’s “SNL UK” host Jack Whitehall spent most of his monologue joking about his upcoming wedding, which was supposed to take place next week.
The British comedian and actor – recently seen in the Peacock comedy-drama “The ‘Burbs” – claimed his marriage to model Roxy Horner was “getting out of hand” in terms of how much it was costing him.
“The flowers, the daybeds, the band… all we did was book Scott Mills as the wedding DJ. I won’t see that deposit again,” he said.
Mills, one of the BBC’s best-known DJs, was sacked earlier this month following allegations about his personal conduct, and it later emerged that he had been interviewed by the Metropolitan Police in 2018 in relation to allegations of sex crimes involving a teenage boy.
Whitehall then joked to Prince Andrew, claiming that his own big day was “like planning a royal wedding, literally in the sense that the whole thing could be ruined if my uncle showed up.”
In keeping with current events, but shifting to the Middle East, he joked that he managed to save some money on the honeymoon and “got an incredible deal on two weeks of cruising the Strait of Hormuz, with a free fireworks show every night.”
Whitehall ended the monologue by claiming that his night as host of “SNL UK” was the same night his fiancée was at her bachelorette party. “So I’m here with you to joke around and she’s currently in Soho getting dry humped by one of Magic Mike.”
Whitehall is the fourth host of “SNL UK” and the last before the show’s first series goes on a week-long hiatus before restarting on April 25.
