Skydance David Ellison promised to FCC CBS News would have ‘varied ideological perspectives’
More than a year after Skydance Media and its partners have conquered a deal with Shari Redstone and Paramount Global to merge the companies, the FCC still has to act on an application to properly approve the transfer of CBS Licencies to the new property.
Earlier this week, Skydance Chief David Ellison FCC chairman Brendan Carr and others met the committee to lobby the approval of the deal and Ellison in particular promised that “editorial decision-making of CBS reflects the varied ideological perspectives of American viewers.”
That is important because Carr, appointed by Trump, had reopened a desk of a complaint from ‘news worries’ against CBS about the alleged misleading adaptation of an interview with ’60 minutes’ with Kamala Harris -Segment -the same interview that Trump Paramount and CBS has charged by Trump $ 16 million. In the meantime, Carr has defended the goal of the Trump administration to eradicate diversity, fairness and inclusion programs, and the policy is called ‘innocent forms of discrimination’.
