Sia, Kathy Griffin, Amber Ruffin and more 100 party celebrity photos

Kathy Griffin was honored Friday evening by Out magazine as Advocate of the Year for the LGBTQ+ community.

The “My Life on the D-List” star received the award from Sia at Sia’s Out100 party at nya studios West in Los Angeles. “She’s my friend, she’s an excellent person and she saved my life,” the singer said, before serenading Griffin with her empowerment song “Unstoppable.”

Griffin thanked the gay community for standing by her side even when she was “cancelled” following her clash with Donald Trump. “There was a term in my day called f-witch,” Griffin said. “We won’t say the fag word again, but honey, I’m the OG witch. I know y’all. We’re going back. We’re in a relationship.”

She went on to say, “I’m so honored to be Advocate of the Year because we are a community. This is a difficult time, so I have to tell you: Please become as politically engaged as you can. Please. It’s so important because I worry about you, and I worry about an America where it may not even be safe to walk down the street as a homosexual.”

Niecy Nash-Betts accepted the Icon Award via video message after she was unable to appear in person because she was filming in Atlanta. “Boots” star Miles Heizer was also recognized as one of the Out100 honorees.
