Sharon Stone reflects on the ‘Basic Instinct’ trauma

In recent years, Stone has continued to work in film and television, including joining the cast Euphoriacreated by Sam Levinson.
She revealed that she has known Levinson since childhood, having previously worked with his father, Barry Levinson, on the 1998 science fiction film Area.
Reflecting on her time working with younger actors like Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney, Stone spoke positively about the experience.
She said: “We just had a good time. It was amazing. All those young people are part of everything… they’re so good, they’re so talented. They (these cast members) have developed into the biggest movie stars of their generation, and that’s because of their impeccable talent, kindness and grace. It’s a joy to be there.”
A source said the actress is now focusing on projects that better align with her current vision.
They added: “Sharon chooses roles and environments where she feels respected and safe, and where the work reflects who she is now, rather than who she expected to be then.”
Stone has also indicated that she may be preparing for a new chapter in her career, expressing an interest in live theater and a possible move to Broadway.
She said, “Now I think I’m ready. I think I want to do Broadway. It’s going to be, I think, the next step for me.”
