Selling Sunset’s Bre has rare comments about Nick Cannon’s ex Mariah Carey

Bre Tiesi finally addressed Nick Cannon‘s ex-wife, Mariah Careyduring season 9 of Selling sunset.

While I catch a newcomer Sandra Vergara about the office drama in the latest batch of episodes, which are currently streaming, Bre, 34, said her feud with Chelsea Lazkani started over Nick, 45.

“Hasn’t he twenty children?” Sandra, 37, asked Bre, who clarified that Nick has 12 children.

Sandra followed that up by referring to Cannon as “Mariah Carey’s ex” before asking if Bre ever “met” the singer, 56.

“I try not to talk about my religion. I don’t talk about pronouns or Mariah,” Bre fired back. “Just for the future, those are things that are my no.”

Carey became a mother when she welcomed Monroe and Moroccan in 2011, now 14, with Cannon. Carey and Cannon called it quits in 2014 after six years of marriage. They finalized their divorce two years later and remained focused on co-parenting their children.

“She’s high frequency, man. She’s always asking me, ‘Are you okay? Are you okay? How are you doing? Are you coping?'” Cannon said on “The Jason Lee Show” podcast in May 2023, sharing Carey’s reaction to having multiple children with different women since their divorce. “She says, ‘As long as you don’t bring any of those bulls*** to Carey’s mansion.’ Like, she lives in her own world, nothing can infiltrate that stuff. When we talk daily, she just controls my mind.

In addition to Moroccan and Monroe, Cannon also shares sons Golden, 7, and Rise, 2, and daughter Powerful, 3, with Brittany Bell, twin sons Zion and Zillion, 3, and daughter Beautiful, 2, met Abby De La Rosason Zen, who died in 2021 at age 5 after suffering from a brain tumor, and daughter Halo, 2, with Alyssa Scottson Legendary, 2, with Bre and daughter Onyx, 2, with LaNisha Cole.

“Everyone lives their own life, before me and after me,” Cannon said E! News in August 2024. “I think that’s how you keep the peace and [keep] everyone moves. Like everyone else [is] concerned about himself and not concerned about what anyone else is [doing]. As long as the kids are happy and have the utmost understanding, I think that makes sense. You have to assume that.”

Bre has also opened up about where she stands with Cannon.

‘I don’t think he’s been seen [the show]to be completely honest,” she shared exclusively We weekly in September 2023. “I always say this, he’s my best friend no matter what. We’re super close. We’re both in the social media and TV world so this is something that’s fun [for us].”

Despite their strong bond, Bre said she had no plans to expand their family yet. “I would feel so much more guilty because I don’t have time for it. I already feel like I don’t have enough time with [Legendary]”, she shared Us. “To add another child, I feel like it wouldn’t be fair. Maybe in a few years that will change.”
