Secretary Bessent says Trump can explain a national emergency

In a separate interview with Labor Day with the Washington -Examinator, Bessent said that President Trump can explain a national home help this fall in response to rising prices and a limited offer.
Bessent specified no actions that Trump can take further than possibly explains a national emergency situation, but he “suggested that administration officials immediately study ways to standardize local building and destination codes and lower closing costs.”
In the limited interview, which is expected to run as a full interview on Tuesday, Bessent referred to Trump, given some tariff exemptions for certain building materials.
“We try to find out what we can do, and we don’t want to get to the company of states, provinces and municipal governments,” he told the researcher. “I think everything is on the table.”
Since his appointment, Trump has recalled the national emergency powers nine times, including an “crime of emergency” in August to confront the crime figures in Washington, DC
